Uganda Safari Trip – 14 days
Day 1: Arrive in Uganda.
When you land at Entebbe International Airport, you are picked from there by our driver and transferred to Imperial Resort Beach Hotel for overnight (Bed and Breakfast). By 12.00am, you are picked at the hotel and be taken for a flight to Kidepo. It’s about an hour flight, arrive the hotel at lunch hours, check-in Apoka Lodge and then after enjoy your lunch. After lunch, enjoy panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and photographic opportunities of wildlife from the verandah of the lodge. Take a rest as you prepare for a night game drive. Day 1: Game Drive, Community Visits
After breakfast go for morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring. A number of faunas can be seen roaming around like the Ostrich. Get back to the lodge for lunch and use the afternoon to have game drive along the Narus River Valley for game Viewing and photography of Elephants, herds of Buffaloes, Jackals, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Klipspringer and possibly Lions. In the evening, enjoy a cultural experience that will bring into contact with Karimajong people at Karenna and Kapepo. Interact and chat with local elders and they will show you their animal kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items. Have dinner and overnight at Apoka Lodge (Full Board).
Day 2: Fly back to Entebbe and Drive to Murchison Falls National Park
Early in the morning, take breakfast and you fly back to Entebbe from where you are picked and start your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will drive via Luwero, Nakasongola and Masindi district. The trip will provide you with a extensive eye-catching panoramas and then arrive at the park in the afternoon. Drive to the top of the falls where the Nile perfects its splendor. Here you will see the calm Nile dipping its self through a narrow gap to fall a gap of about 150 feet down mixing up out a loud white water, an incredible view! Cross over the Nile River by ferry for dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge.
DAY 3: Game Drive Tour, Launch Cruise
After breakfast, start an early morning game drive before dawn to catch up with the early risers. This exciting game drive will offer you with animals like the jackals, hyenas, giraffes, lions, antelopes, elephants and the Uganda kob among others. You will rest from the game drive for anything to eat and later on lunch. The afternoon time will be for an open launch cruise. The boat trip will take you to the bottom of the falls where animals like the buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and plenty of water birds like fish eagles and rare shoebills and many more will not escape your sight. Retire for overnight and dinner at Paraa Safari Lodge (Full Board).
Day 4: Depart for Kibale National Park
Eat your breakfast and depart for Kibale National Park with your packed lunch as the drive last for about nine hours and you will pass close to Lake Albert. On a clear day, the view on the top of the Albert rift is spectacular. You will arrive in Fort portal town in the late afternoon. Overnight and Dinner at Ndali Lodge (Full Board).
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest
After your early morning breakfast, report to the ranger station at 08.00am to track the happy apes, which are more closely related to humans than any other living creature and are a must watch as they squabble and play the
trees. This diverse forest is a home to over 13 species of primates including red Colobus monkey, the rare L’hoest, blue monkey, grey mangabey, pottos, black faced vervet monkeys, baboons and also bush babies. A network of shady forest trails provides much to delight botanists and butterfly lovers, while birders are to enjoy watching a variety of birds part of the 335 species recorded including the endemic Prirogrine’s ground thrush. The indescribable forest elephant, smaller and hairier that its savannah counterpart, moves seasonally into the developed part of the park, while other terrestrial mammals include buffalo, gigantic forest hog and a half dozen antelope species. Day 6: Depart to Semliki Wildlife Reserve
Semliki Wildlife Reserve; this scenic drive will take you down the eastern side of Lake Albert. Semliki reserve is situated in the basin of the Western Rift Valley. It is one of the most diverse habitats in Africa with wonderful examples of Riparian forest, gallery rain forest, borassus palm forest and short and high grass savannas. Chimps exist next to elephant, lion and buffalo as well as the usual western Uganda species. After dinner you will go on a night drive. This is the only place in Uganda where you can do a spot lit night drive. Often the big cats are sighted as well as the
diminutive genet and several cats. Unusual night-time dwellers also show themselves, such as the white tailed mongoose and slim mongoose, standard and pennant winged nightjars depending on the time of year. There are always

Day 7: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following breakfast, you will be off to Queen Elizabeth National Park getting there via the Northern crater Area. With fine-looking lakes and rich grasslands which are set deep in the crater valley, this is truly the most astounding viewpoint in the park. The park hosts a large variety of wildlife and boasts one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game park in the world, ranging from the open Savannah to Rain forest, thick swamps and gorgeous crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward. The park has over 606 species of birds like the buttonquail, martial eagle, black-rumped
Verreauxâs, eagle owl and African skimmer to mention. The park’s primates comprise of Chimps, Black and white Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black Faced Red Colobus, and Red Tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons. After checking in and relaxing briefly, you will go for an afternoon game drive where you will spot Elephants, waterbucks, warthogs, hippos and many more. Overnight and dinner at Mweya Safari Lodge (Full Board).
Day 8: Game Drive and Boat ride
After breakfast, you will start an early morning game drive in the park which will award you with an superb chance to see Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Topi and Bush bucks and many others. After having lunch, you will have a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This voyage passes through the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals seen drinking at the water shores. This launch cruise is an excellent opportunity for seeing bird and animals. The inexhaustible bird life is colourful and fantastic with well over 550 inhabitant species. Over night at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 9: Chimps trekking in Kyambura Gorge
Take an early breakfast and set off for Kyambura gorge, with your parked lunch for chimpanzee tracking and have a view for an array of primates. Trek chimps up to around midday and then drive off for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the home of Mountain Gorillas. You will arrive in Bwindi in the evening and retire at the Gorilla Resort for overnight and dinner (Full Board)
Day 10: Gorilla trekking
After an early morning breakfast, depart with packed lunch to report to the ranger station for a gorilla briefing. With an experienced guide, you will be lead to the forest through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track the gorillas. When trekking the gorillas, you will hear the grumbles of these great primates. This activity is adventurous and tiresome at the same time. If time allows, you may carry out bird and butterfly watching in the evening as well some community walk. But this depends of how fast you would have finished trekking gorillas. Day 11: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park for Game Drive
Drive gently to Lake Mburo National Park in the morning after having breakfast. Lake Mburo has several animal species, very rare elsewhere in Uganda. Mburo is the only Uganda National Park to harbour the handsome antelope, impala from whom, Kampala that Uganda Capital city was named. It’s also among the 3 protected areas countrywide where Burchells zebra live, the two areas being the remote Kidepo Valley National Park and Pian Upe. Topi, bushbuck, common duiker, oribi, Defassa waterbuck and Bohor reed-buck are the other antelope species that are also found there. Bush pigs, Warthogs, hippos, Leopard, buffaloes, side-striped jackal and numerous smaller predators exist are also in the park and only two diurnal primates are found here, the vervet monkey and the olive baboon. There are also 315 bird species are recorded in the park and this makes it the best place in Uganda to see acacia-associated birds like the mosque swallow, black-bellied bustard, bare-faced go-away bird and Rupells long-tailed starling. After Lunch at Lake View Hotel in Mbarara Town, you will head to the park and enjoy a boat and nature walk in the after and evening respectively. Overnight Mihingo Lodge (Full Board).
Day 12: Game Drive and Nature Guided walks
Have breakfast then go for morning game drive return for lunch then in the afternoon go for a nature guided walk. Return for dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge (Full Board)
Day 13: Game Drive and Departure to Entebbe
Take breakfast and go for day game drive enroute after which you drive to Kampala en route enjoying your lunch in Masaka and stop at the Uganda Equator to shop beautiful African handicrafts and photo shootings. You can also stop at Mpabiire for drums of all sizes and a variety of handicraft. Arrive in Kampala in the evening and relax at Imperial Resort Beach Hotel (Full Board).
Day 14: Airport Transfer and Departure
In the late evening, you are transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
