Day one; Drive To Queen Elizabeth national park
Meet at the Entebbe international airport and head to Kampala from where you will arrange and transfer to Fort Portal with stop over for lunch en route and the Equator for photos. Continue through Western Rift valley towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will view a stunning panorama of lakes George and Edward amidst game filled plains. In the evening proceed for a two hours boat cruise on the Kazinga channel and into Lake Edward. The trip passes through possibly the highest hippo concentration in Africa and many mammals may be seen drinking at the waters’ edge. The cruise offers an excellent platform for photography and game viewing. The bird life is colorful and abundant. Return for dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge or Jacana safari lodge.
Day two; Chimpanzee Trekking and Wildlife Safari
Very early in the morning after your breakfast go for primate viewing with Chimpanzee trekking being the most exciting. Other primates include; red tailed and gray cheeked Mangabey, red colubus monkeys, and phoetes. More will be explained on the fauna and flora as you trek for the primates to ensure that the walk is both informative and enjoyable. In addition to primate viewing, expect to watch the bird life its natural habitat. Dinner and overnight at Rwenzori view guesthouse or Ndali lodge.
Day three; Chimpanzee Tracking
After breakfast go for chimpanzee tracking you will also be able to see other primates including l’hoestes, blue red tailed and gray cheeked mangabey, and red tailed monkey. Enjoy the services of our guide who will give detailed information on primates, forest, flora and fauna. Overnight at Rwenzori view guesthouse or Ndali lodge.
Day four;Drive to Bwindi for mountain gorilla tracking
Proceed to Bwindi impenetrable forest through the ‘Switzerland of Africa’ area known as Kigezi highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads. Pass through Isasha Sector, which is famed for its tree-climbing lions, the Kyambura gorge, harbors chimps. Dinner and overnight at Travelers’ Rest Camp.
Day five; Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Tracking gorillas in Bwindi is a simply amazing chance to see fascinating endangered gorillas. Dinner and overnight stay in Travelers’ Rest Camp.
Day six; Trip Back
Drive back to Kampala with a stop over for lunch on the way. En route stop over at the Equator an emergency line that divides the earth into two equal parts. You could buy yourself a souvenir at Mpambire drum village. View the beautiful landscape en route. Overnight at one of these; Agip Hotel, Montana luxury tented camp, and Rwonyo rest camp
Day seven;Kampala city tour
Enjoy a half-day tour of Kampala city.
