With some lots of good rapids (including some maximum class 5 ones) and a beautiful river with high volume it’s ideal. There are some very exciting sections with space between to lay back and float along taking in the scenery and enjoying the wildlife, particularly the many species of birds to be found here.  After this classic adventure, you will get back to Kampala for Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Kampala – Murchison falls

African Secrets Limited driver/ guide will pick you from your home at 7:00am to begin the panoramic drive North West via Luwero triangle and Masindi Town to Murchison Falls National Park. You will drive to the top of the falls where the Nile perfects its beauty. Here you will see the calm Nileforcing its self through a narrow gorge to fall a distance of about 150 ft down producing a thunderous roar of white water- incredible scenery! Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 3: Game Drive and Nile Launch trip

Have early breakfast before you can enjoy a morning game drive on the northern bank where you may see elephant, lion, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hartebeests and many more. After lunch, proceed for a boat trip on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls. Enroute you will see hippos, crocodiles, water buck and a wide variety of birds like the unusual shoebill stork.  Enjoy the abundant bird life, beautiful sceneries, photography and return to your Lodge for Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 4: Delta Launch trip and Game drive

After breakfast, enjoy a launch cruise to the Delta area. A boat trip to the Delta where the Victoria Nile engorges into the Lake Albert leads through papyrus swamps. Bird species here include the rare shoe billed; saddle Billed & Abdim’s Stork. Also look out for Pied Kingfisher, Malachite Kingfisher and the African skimmer. After the delta launch cruise, proceed for a game drive to savor the beauty of the park. Dinner and overnight at Sambiya River lodge.

Day 5: Chimp tracking and Transfer to Kampala

After breakfast, you will go for a morning Chimpanzee tracking in Kaniyo Pabidi Forest. This is an undisturbed area of natural forest within Budongo Forest Reserve where you can walk beneath mature mahogany and iron wood trees. Chimpanzee tracking is the most famous activity.

You may see many forest birds, including the chocolates-backed Kingfisher, the

White-thigh hornbill and puvel’s illadopsis found nowhere else in East Africa. After your chimp tracking, you will depart for Kampala arriving in the evening.
